Climate control

Construction sites need reliable climate control long before the building is finished. Cold weather, moisture, concrete curing, timber drying and changing project phases all place heavy demands on temporary heating systems.

Eltrode’s mobile air-to-air heat pumps are designed for this environment. The units are placed outside the building and circulate warm, dry air through flexible hoses, helping maintain stable temperatures while removing moisture from the structure. This supports construction drying, protects materials and helps keep work moving through cold and wet conditions.

Compared with conventional electric heaters, diesel or gas-based alternatives, Eltrode heat pumps can deliver significantly more heat from the electricity they consume. The CHP50.2 delivers up to 50.2 kW of heating capacity and 38 kW of cooling capacity, while drawing a much lower electrical load during operation. For long-running projects, that difference can mean substantial reductions in energy cost and CO₂ emissions.

Setup

Setup is designed to be practical on active job sites. Units are delivered with flexible hoses, quick connectors and zipper connections, allowing installation in approximately two hours. Because the unit operates outside the building, indoor noise is avoided and the working environment remains cleaner and more comfortable.

Each unit can be monitored digitally from app, PC or tablet. Teams can follow temperature, humidity, COP, delivered output and power consumption in real time, receive fault alerts and download reports for project documentation, energy follow-up and BREEAM-related reporting.

Guidance

Eltrode supports projects with more than equipment. From sizing and planning to delivery, follow-up and documentation, the team helps contractors choose the right setup for each phase of the build.

Frequently asked questions

How does an Eltrode heat pump work on a construction site?
The heat pump is placed outside the building and connected with flexible air hoses. Warm, dry air is supplied into the building, while return air is circulated back through the unit. This continuous airflow helps heat the site and remove moisture from the structure.
How quickly can the system be installed?
A typical unit can be installed in approximately two hours. The system uses flexible hoses, quick connectors and practical site-ready connections to make setup fast and straightforward.
Can the same unit be used for both heating, cooling and drying?
Yes. Eltrode heat pumps are used for temporary heating, construction drying and general climate control. The CHP50.2 can also provide cooling when site conditions require it.
Can operation be monitored remotely?
Yes. Eltrode units include digital monitoring through app, PC or tablet. Project teams can follow temperature, humidity, COP and power consumption, receive alerts and download reports for documentation.
