Eltrode and Veidekke's Green Collaboration at Vollebekk

Vollebekk in Oslo is in the process of becoming a model for future green urban development. Through an extensive transformation of a former industrial area, OBOS, in collaboration with Veidekke Entreprenør, has developed a new, vibrant and sustainable district. In total, over 400 new homes were delivered across several construction phases — with a combined project value well in excess of 800 million NOK.

Behind the efficient and environmentally friendly construction process was, among others, Eltrode AS, which delivered emission-free heating solutions and advanced drying technology contributing to lower energy consumption, faster progress and a better working environment.

Emission-free construction site with Eltrode

Eltrode AS delivered mobile heat pumps and technology for precise, electrically based drying — entirely without the use of fossil fuels such as propane and diesel. This contributed to significant cuts in greenhouse gas emissions and energy footprint during the construction period, and simultaneously to a better and safer working environment.

A forward-looking collaboration

The collaboration between Veidekke and Eltrode at Vollebekk demonstrates how modern technology and ambitious environmental thinking can be combined in practice. Through emission-free heating and intelligent drying, not only were emissions and energy consumption reduced — but a more predictable and stable construction process was also achieved.
