Eltrode delivers to Hafslund and Vinjerock
Vinjerock 2025 was not only a musical success, but also a milestone in sustainable technology within the festival world. In collaboration with Eltrode and Hafslund, the festival installed heat pumps in Jotunheimen — an area known for its tough climate and high demands on reliable infrastructure.
In high-mountain conditions — heavy rain, thunderstorms, wind and sun — the heat pumps delivered impressive results. They provided stable heating and supply air to areas including the stage area, festival crew zones, catering areas and more — entirely without diesel generators. This led to reduced local pollution, lower noise levels and a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions.
The project demonstrates how modern heat pump technology can play a key role in the transition to greener festival operations, even in demanding environments. It is also a strong example of what is possible when organizers, suppliers and technology communities collaborate to find sustainable solutions.
